circular box, the sides and base of engine-turned concentric and horizontal reeding stamped at intervals with pellets, the sablé borders chased in two-colour gold with trailing foliage and flower sprigs, the centre of the base engraved with a rosette, the cover set with an enamel portrait miniature, on copper, of a young lady resting on a green cushion, wearing a low-cut lilac corsage with frill-bordered white underslip
