A FINE PAIR OF FAMILLE VERTE 'DRAGON AND PHEONIX' BOWLS
KANGXI SIX-CHARACTER MARKS IN UNDERGLAZE BLUE WITHIN DOUBLE CIRCLES AND OF THE PERIOD (1662-1722)
Each bowl is finely decorated to the exterior with two five-clawed dragons chasing flaming pearls separated by two stylised phoenix, all surounded by various floral sprays, below a band of The Eight Buddhist Emblems, Bajixiang. The interiors are decorated with a central roundel enclosing a further dragon in the upright position.
5 1/4 in. (13.3 cm) diam.
