A RARE PAIR OF CARVED TRANSPARENT RUBY RED GLASS BOWLS
YONGZHENG INCISED FOUR-CHARACTER MARKS WITHIN A SQUARE AND OF THE PERIOD (1723-1735)
Each bowl is carved to the exterior with a pheasant perched on rocks surrounded by large peony blooms growing from scrolling foliage and a smaller bird to one side, sitting amongst the branches. The glass is of a translucent rich ruby red tone.
6 1/2 in. (16.4 cm.) diam.
