CHINE, DYNASTIE QING, XVIIIEME-XIXEME SIECLE
The censer is finely carved around the exterior with a band of stylized archaistic motifs below an incised key-fret border at the mouth rim. The sides are flanked by a pair of bat-shaped handles each suspending a loose ring. The stone is of a semi-translucent yellow-celadon tone with some russet inclusions.
6 5/8 in. (17 cm.) wide, wood cover with agate finial, wood stand, and Japanese box
