THAILANDE DU NORD, EPOQUE AYUTTHAYA, XVIIEME SIECLE
Buddha Shakyamuni is standing in samabhanga on a lotus base placed on an octagonal tiered base. Both his hands are stretched down along his body. His is dressed in an uttarasangha and samghati, the latter covering his left shoulder. His face displays a serene expression with downcast eyes below arched eyebrows and elongated earlobes. His hair and ushnisha are curled and topped with a separate cast flame. There are traces of gilt and black lacquer.
