A GREEN-OVERLAY WHITE GLASS SNUFF BOTTLE
1760-1840
The bottle is carved through the apple-green overlay, which is streaked with subtle red markings, to the translucent white ground on one side with a cricket perched on millet plants, and on the other side with a praying mantis on similar foliage.
2 1/8 in. (5.3 cm.) high, glass stopper
