A CARVED AGATE SNUFF BOTTLE
1780-1850
The bottle is of pebble form and marked with concentric striations. It is carved on one side with a melon borne on a leafy vine that extends to the other side where two butterflies carved from lighter markings perch on leaves.
2 3/8 in. (5.8 cm.) high, mother-of-pearl stopper
