Of rectangular form with separate lid, the sides with courtly scenes depicting a couple entertained by musicians and dancer in a palace, the lid with Mohammad Shah Qajar in full military regalia, a footman and a city in the background, the reverse with a seated prince in a countryside landscape, a peacock at his feet and a fortified building on a hilltop, the base with intricate gilt floral scrollwork on red ground
