A LARGE COPPER-RED-GLAZED HIGH-SHOULDERED VASE
18TH-19TH CENTURY
The high-shouldered body tapers to a flared lower edge at the foot, and is covered in a crackle-suffused glaze of crushed-strawberry-red color that thins to a slightly lighter color on the upper body and to a rose-tinged, pale celadon on the neck, which is covered on the interior with a golden crackle-suffused, blue-green glaze. The base is also covered with a celadon glaze suffused with dark brown crackle.
