TWO WHITE AND RUSSET JADE ARCHAISTIC PLAQUES
17TH-19TH CENTURY
The larger is carved in openwork as two chilong, one grasping a lingzhi stem in its mouth, surrounding a disc centered by a smaller chilong. The smaller is carved in the shape of a plectrum flanked on the sides by a dragon and a bird with backward-turned head.
3 ¼ in. (8.2 cm.) wide, 2 ¼ in. (5.7 cm.) long
