Lot Essay

A note at the end of the manuscript written by the complier himself states that he heard Qutb al-Milla Fadl Yusuf bin al-Husayn al-Siwasi recite the work from this manuscript over the course of two days and that he corrected it and gave him permission to recite it. He then gives his name as Muhammad bin Sartaq al-Maraghi and states that he composed the work at the end of Jumada I AH 731/February-March 1331 AD.
