LATE MING DYNASTY, 16TH - 17TH CENTURY
The cylindrical brush pot is carved in relief depicting a man walking underneath pine trees, dressed in loose-fitted robes, revealing his bare chest and rotund belly, carrying a staff over his right shoulder with a basket holding lingzhi and other medicinal plants.
