The three Presidents in the album are ADAMS, John Quincy (“John Quincy Adams”); BUCHANAN, James (“James Buchanan”); FILLMORE, Millard (“Millard Fillmore”). Other notable signatures in the album include John C. Calhoun, Henry A. Wise, Fernando Wood, and (in clipped signatures pasted in) William H. Seward and Daniel Webster. It was customary for some members of Congress to keep albums containing the signatures of all their fellow legislators.
