A FINE 12-BORE SIDELOCK EJECTOR
BOSS & CO., 41, ALBEMARLE STREET, PICCADILLY, LONDON W., SERIAL NO. 7887
With blued 28 in. (71 cm.) nitro chopperlump barrels, 2 ½ in. chambers, bored approx. imp. cyl. and light ¼ choke, action with removable striker discs, locks with gold-inlaid cocking-indicators, automatic safety with gold-inlaid 'SAFE', rolled-edge trigger-guard, best quality bouquet and scroll engraving throughout, retaining much original blued and case-hardened finish throughout, figured 15 ½ in. stock including rubber butt-pad, and gold escutcheon engraved with the initials 'A.M.S.', weight 6 lbs. 8 oz.
Provenance
The makers have kindly confirmed that this gun was completed ordered on 14 May 1931 for a Mrs. G.H. Pyne with 28 in. barrels and 15 ½ in. stock.
