With 30 in. (76 cm.) browned damascus nitro barrels, 2 ½ in. chambers, bored approx. ¼ and ½ choke, automatic safety, locks each with gold-inlaid cocking-indicator and retaining traces of original case-hardened finish, best quality scroll engraving throughout, figured 16 in. diamond-grip replacement stock (by the makers) including small extension, and gold escutcheon engraved with a crest and motto, weight 7 lbs., in a canvas and leather case
Provenance
The makers have kindly confirmed that this gun was completed in 1899. The vendor informs us that it was ordered with full choke in each barrel by his great uncle for use on end of season high birds. The makers records show that the gun was returned to them for the choking to be reduced in 1958.
