Lot Essay

Accompanied by a Rolex presentation box and outer packaging.

Preserved in exceptional condition, the present watch is among the most striking examples of Oyster Date available on the market. The connoisseur will immediately notice not one, but three unusual traits that characterize the dial of this watch. The champagne brushed finish is the first, perfectly harmonizing with the gold case and adding movement to the ensemble thanks to the brushed finish. The highly sought-after Tiffany & Co. signature, among the most prestigious signatures one can hope to find on a dial, is the second. The hour markers are the third. Rather than usual baton numerals, this watch features very prominent beveled square numerals. Beyond their rarity, these numerals grant to the dial a depth and three-dimensionality which is as rare as it is aesthetically appealing.
