Lot Essay

Accompanied by a Patek Philippe Certificate of Origin dated June 26th, 2015, product literature, a Patek Philippe leather envelope, and Patek Philippe presentation slipcase.

Reference 5396 was introduced to the market in 2006 in pink gold and in 2008 the white gold version was introduced. First produced with a sector dial, the classic dial then followed, reminiscent of the much sought-after reference 3448. Paying homage to the firm's celebrated classic round Calatrava design, its large size offers a modern interpretation while staying true to the appreciated timeless design.

Although this reference has similarities to others, it differs from the other annual calendar models: for the first time, this patented mechanism features twin in-line day and month apertures beneath 12 o'clock. An instant classic among collectors, furthermore this example is offered in excellent condition.
