A PURPLE-SPLASHED JUNYAO DISH
YUAN DYNASTY (1279-1368)
The dish has shallow, rounded sides and is covered with a milky greyish-blue glaze that thins to mushroom at the rim and ends in an irregular line above the unglazed foot. The interior is decorated with four irregular pale green and greyish-white splashes with reddish-purple haloes.
