A LACQUERED GILT-BRONZE FIGURE OF AVALOKITESVARA
MING DYNASTY, 16TH-17TH CENTURY
The figure is cast seated in dhysanasana with hands held together, wearing a flowing dhoti, large pendent earrings and a crown above a high-top knot.
9¾ in. (25 cm.) high.
