A RARE AND FINELY ENAMELLED FAMILLE ROSE GLASS 'LANDSCAPE' SNUFF BOTTLE
QIANLONG PERIOD, YANGZHOU WORKSHOPS, 1770-1790
The snuff bottle is skilfully shaped as a flattened double-gourd, with the sides exquisitely decorated with a continuous riverside landscape scene featuring tall trees, mountains, pavilions and a fisherman in a sampan. The concave base bears a three-character gu yue xuan mark written in zhuanshu script in iron-red.
