Lot Essay

The present desk is slightly higher with tapered legs that are unlike those produced in the traditional format. The carved ruyi motifs above each foot provide a visual balance to the desk. The outer sides of the legs are angular whilst the inner sides are rounded, thus giving the desk a sense of toughness and softness at the same time.

Christie's can only arrange domestic delivery for this lot. Christie's cannot arrange the export and overseas delivery of this lot.
