Dow 1963
In original wooden case
Tasting note: Several notes. In February 2014 fresh expressive nose, slightly spirity, nutty aromas, all alive and sweet round. Plums. Actually surprisingly youthful. Floral tones, touch spicy. Intense powerful taste, good structure keeping the wine up and very much build for a long future. In the finish soft sweet a bit spicy and with good structure, well balanced. In typical less sweet Dow style. getting better after a while. Very good wine. Later that year a Berry Bros bottling in 1965. Elegant fine nose, raisins, berry fruit, subtle, smoky tones. very nice nose. An amazing elegant well balanced great taste, medium sweet fine in pure taste all packed in. On the finish a touch smoky. Finesse at its top. A great classic Dow. Last tasted November 2014. EV.
