A WHITE JADE FAN HANDLE
18TH-19TH CENTURY
Of oblong section, the handle is carved in imitation of bamboo, the top drilled for the insertion of the fan which would have been held between two tabs, one carved as a bat, the other as a shou-character medallion, both pierced, and the end of the handle with a bull-nose perforation for the attachment of a silk tassel. The stone is of even color.
