Arabic manuscript on paper, backed on cloth, with a central line of large black shikasteh in gold cartouches on gold and blue foliate ground, gold and polychrome illumiated panels between the cartouches, bordered above and below by two lines of Qur'anic script in small black naskh on pale yellow and green ground respectively, illuminated triangular panel at start and end, probably India, dated AH 1282/1865-6 AD (light spotting and creasing), in cloth envelope - 3¼ x 57½in. (8.1 x 146cm.)
