Lot Essay

De tels plats étaient réservés pour l'usage exclusif des prêtres. Ils évoquent, par leur élégant aspect en forme de feuille, le fruit leba (Syzigium neuroclayx). Ils servaient de récipient pour l'huile parfumée de noix de coco dont le prêtre s'embaumait le corps avant d'invoquer les divinités. Les plats à yaqona, plus communs, s'inspirent notamment de cette forme.
