PROPERTY FROM A EUROPEAN PRIVATE COLLECTION Born in Naples in the beginning of the 20th century, our collector soon embarked on a ship for Asia. He arrived in China in the early 1920s where he lived for more than 20 years. He was first married to a Chinese wife and spoke and wrote Chinese perfectly . It is then that he started to collect Chinese works of art for himself and to export objects to Italy. When he came back to Europe, he opened an antique shop where he sold Chinese works of art, first in Rome then in Monaco where he passed away. This present selection of jades was part of his personal collection and remained in his family until today.
