CIRCA 1910-20, THE MODEL OF HERCULES BY OTTO SCHMIDT-HOFER (1873-1925)
The circular corona and orb hung with three bar supports suspending an oil lantern entwined with snakes, mounted with Greek masks and ribbon-tied laurel swags and centred by a figure of Hercules, the three arms each with five nozzles, the base of Hercules signed 'Schmidt-Hofer', fitted for electricity, with some minor alterations
39 in. (99 cm.) high; 32 in. (81 cm.) diameter, approx.

Acquired from Galerie Gismondi, Paris, circa 1990 by François-Joseph Graf.
