The figure in this drawing corresponds to the figure of Saint Elisabeth in the Visitation executed in metalpoint on blue paper, in the Uffizi, Florence (inv. 673E ; see A. Angelini, Disegni italiani del tempo di Donatello, exhib. cat., Florence, Uffizi, 1986, no. 31, ill.). The Uffizi sheet was given to Fra Diamante by Bernard Berenson, but has since been reattributed to Filippo Lippi (1406-1469) himself, rather than to his follower. There is another copy of the Uffizi drawing in metalpoint on blue paper in the British Museum, London (inv. 1895,0915.455; see A.E. Popham and P. Pouncey, Italian Drawings in the British Museum. The Fourteenth and Fifteenth Centuries, London, 1950, I, no. 339, II, ill., as after Filippo Lippi).

Cette feuille reprend la figure de sainte Elisabeth qui apparait dans le dessin de la Visitation à la pointe d’argent sur papier bleu conservé aux Offices à Florence (inv. 673E ; A. Angelini, Disegni italiani del tempo di Donatello, exhib. cat., musée des Offices, Florence, 1986, no. 31, ill.). Si le dessin des Offices fût autrefois donné à Fra Diamante par Berenson, il a depuis été réattribué à Filippo Lippi (1406-1469) lui-même plutôt qu’à son suiveur. Il existe une autre copie du dessin des Offices à la pointe d’argent sur papier bleu au British Museum à Londres (inv. 1895,0915.455 ; A. E. Popham & P. Pouncey, Italian drawings in the British Museum, the fourteenth and fifteenth centuries, London, 1950, I, n° 339).
