Lot Essay

Each bowl is delicately painted on the exterior with six stylized honeysuckle blossoms alternating with leafy scrolls suspending trefoils. The interior is further decorated with addorsed C-shaped foliate scrolls. Two comparable Yongzheng-marked bowls with similar dimensions and decorated with the same ‘honeysuckle’ design are in the collection of the National Palace Museum, Taipei (acc. no. 故瓷007750N000000000 and 故瓷007751N000000000).
