Franklin D. Roosevelt, Jr.’s copy; first edition of Eleanor Roosevelt’s memoir, inscribed to her son.

No. 5 of 1,000, signed on limitation page (“For Franklin D. Roosevelt Jr. With love from his mother Eleanor Roosevelt”). Published four years after the death of her husband, This I Remember is the second of Eleanor Roosevelt four memoirs, covering her life up to her husband’s death in office in 1945. Her son FDR, Jr., to whom she gave this copy, is often mentioned.
