A George III mahogany longcase clock
the break arch hood with brass-capped fluted columns to the front, glazed panels to the sides, with break arch trunk door and on block plinth with bracket feet, the brass dial with silvered strike/silent ring in the arch with dolphin spandrels, signed on the chapter ring Richard Peckover LONDON, urn and ho-ho bird spandrels, the matted centre with subsidiary silvered seconds ring and date aperture, the five pillar rack striking movement with anchor escapement; possibly associated -- 87½in. (222cm.) high
