A George III mahogany longcase clock
the hood with broken swan-neck pediment centred by a brass eagle and orb finial and with dentil cornice, lacking columns, the trunk with wavy top door and flanked by fluted three-quarter pilasters, with reeded band above, on block plinth with chamfered and fluted and sides, the white-painted dial with rolling moon and ship in the arch, painted flower and wild strawberry spandrels, with subsidiary seconds ring and date aperture, the four pillar rack striking movement with anchor escapement and falseplate stamped WILSON; associated -- 87½in. (222cm.) high
