of tapering moulded oval form and on rising oval bases, each engraved with bow, floral and foliate swags and with boat-shaped cartouches engraved with initials, crests and mottos, with beaded borders, the teapot with fluted scroll handle, part-fluted rising curved spout and rising hinged cover with ball finial, the milk jug with fluted scroll handle, the sugar basin with fluted swing handle, the teapot maker's initials I.& W.Mc, Edinburgh 1784, the milk jug and sugar basin John Zeigler, Edinburgh 1805 - height of teapot 8¼in.
