Relating to work on the Bristol to Exeter Railway. "I am instructed by the Teignmouth Harbour Committee to request that you will inform me at your earliest convenience ... the precise plan you intend to adopt -- in carrying the line of the South Devon Railway at the Estuary of the River Teign."
Another autograph letter signed ("S. Waring), to I. K. Brunel at 53 Parliament Street, London, 2 pages, 4to, Bristol 17th October 1835, also regarding the Railway from Bristol to Exeter. (2)

Sir John Rennie (1794-1874) Scottish engineer, the second son of Sir John Rennie the Scottish civil engineer. He was responsible for the completion of London Bridge after his father's design of 1831.
