the case with brass handle to inverted bell top, arched glazed panels to the sides and above the front door, the dial with cherub and foliate spandrels to the silvered chapter ring, matted centre with aperture for mock pendulum (lacking) and date, signed on a silvered disc in the arch Hen. Hurt LONDON, the single wire fusee movement with verge escapement, the backplate engraved with foliate scrolls and corncopiae, lacking securing brackets, associated -- 15¾in. (40cm.) high
