An exhibition standard 18':1'' diorama depicting the Thames Barge Race of 1901 when 'Thelma' won from 'Giralda'
built by E.J. Walpole with both barges modelled with all sails set in a port reach and both with deck details including anchors, chain and winch, bollards, rope coils, stove pipes, companionways, hatches, horses, helmsmen and crew members, both finished in black with tan and white sails and mounted on a painted moulded seascape. Glazed case -- 7¼ x 17¼in. (18.4 x 43.8cm.)

'Giralda' came fifth after breaking her port leeboard and buckling the starboard crosstree.
