signed on the arm POWELL & LEALAND. 170 Euston Road. LONDON, 1893, with rack and pinion coarse focusing, fine-screw fine adjustment, the body-tube located on an arm, the eyepiece engraved POWELL & LEALAND 7½, with Powell & Lealand 1/16 objective with micrometer adjustment, the tubular body limb incorporating an attachment for the bull's-eye condenser, the mechanical stage with sprung slide holder and mounting for forceps and other accessories, the sub-stage condenser with iris diaphragm and filter attachment, with fine rack and pinion motion adjustment, with articulated arm-mounted plano-concave mirror, on finely modelled tripod stand, the feet with cork inserts, with an additional body-tube, various sub-stage accessories and other items in accessory case, in fitted mahogany carrying case with swing carrying handle -- 18¼in.
