A barrel shaped tripod koro and cover with cockerel finial, ring and tassel handles and karako feet, painted and gilt with shaped panels of rakan before foaming waves and scholars and boys in a rocky landscape, all within moulded bands of studs and borders of stylised leaves and geometric motifs, the cover with Tokugawa mon and further mon amongst geometric designs -- 14¾in.
