A Rare Cased Pair Of 60-Bore Cooper Patent Four-Shot Percussion Pepperbox Revolvers
Circa 1850
Each with case-hardened barrel block, scroll engraved white-metal action and back-strap, the former signed 'J.R. Cooper Patentee', the latter engraved with a crest, blued thumbpiece safety-catch, under-hammer and ring-trigger, figured walnut grips, and almost all its original finish: in original lined and fitted mahogany case with accessories including cylindrical copper and brass powder-flask, the lid with circular escutcheon engraved with a coat-of-arms, in exceptional condition throughout, Birmingham proof marks
