Persian manuscript on pale blue paper, 4ll. of large elegant nasta'liq in clouds on gold and floral painted ground, with gold and poychrome illuminated triangular panels, lower panel signed by Mir 'Ali (possibly applied), buff margin with gold meandering vine, mounted, framed and glazed, (light spotting and rubbing), Safavid Persia, 17th century - 20 x 11.6cm.; and another, 8ll. of black nasta'liq in clouds on gold ground, signed by Muhammad al-Labiji(?) and dated AH 1023/1614-15 AD - 17 x 9cm.
