A French bronze and Siena marble mantel timepiece, late 19th/early 20th century
The case modelled as a globed with Roman chapters and surmounted by an eagle with displayed wings resting on a lightning bolt, flanked by a figure of Napoleon seated on a chair with one foot resting on the globe, on stepped rectangular Siena plinth with beehive feet, mounted with a plaque to the front inscribed VEILLE DE WAGRAM, the single barrel movement with vertically positioned bimetallic lever escapement -- 11 ½in. (29cm.) wide
