A Minton majolica oval game pie dish and cover
the basket-moulded pale yellow ground with panels of a hare and bird between holly issuing from branch handles, supported by four paw feet, the finial formed as a recumbent sporting hound on a gun, flask and bag, shape 964, year cypher for 1877 (small section to rim lacking with associated crack, chips to rim) -- 32cm. high See illustration
