signed on the stand J.H. DALLMEYER, LONDON, and dated 1877, the binocular body-tubes signed POWELL & LEALAND LONDON, the eyepieces adjustable by rack and pinion at the upper body-tubes section, the body-tubes located on an arm from the massive rectangular section vertical pillar, with rack and pinion coarse focusing and micrometer fine adjustment, with prism and ¼-inch objective signed Ross London, the axis mounted on twin vertical supports, the circuit stage with rack adjustment, finely engraved circle, mechanical slide adjustment, with sub-stage assembly signed J.H. Dallmeyer London on the rotating condenser numbered 1-18, rotation by rack and pinion, the lower limb with plano-concave mirror, the stand mounted on a mahogany platform base, the microscope -- 19 1/8in. (48.5cm.) high lowered (lacking carrying case and all other accessories)
