An Italian Stonebow
Late 16th Century
With slender steel bow retaining its cord strings (damaged) with bone spacers, folding arched iron back-sight, and two fore-sight pillars, each with architectural mouldings, slender stock of rectangular section with curved neck (chipped behind the bow), tapering butt with pierced integral scroll on the upper side and elongated baluster pommel terminating in a radially fluted knob, and moulded curved trigger-lever, most of the metal parts with etched decoration
