A large Imari octagonal baluster vase
painted and gilt with shaped panels of cranes below prunus and pine and retreats in rocky landscapes, all on a dense ground of scrolling chrysanthemums and leaves, the shoulder with lappet shaped panels below lozenges of rabbits and butterflies to the neck -- 23in. (58.5cms) high, circa 1700, (chip to neck, crack to base, cover missing).
