Lot Essay

A pair of similarly decorated Yongzheng-marked bowls are illustrated in the Baur Collection Catalogue, vol. IV, nos. A 590 and 591, together with a pair of matching cups, A 592 and 593. Compare with a pair of lipped rim bowls of this decoration but without lingzhi sold in Hong Kong 29 November 1976, lot 623; and a single bowl with straight sides without bamboo sold in Hong Kong 18 May 1982, lot 43.
