The case with later plinth on bun feet, shaped brass framed lenticle to the shaped and banded trunk door, the break-arch hood with brass-capped three quarter columns supporting the foliate carved arch beneath a caddy top with later carved giltwood figure of Atlas and two herald figures, the dial signed Hendrik van Heilbron Almelo on the silvered chapter ring, pierced black painted steel hands, the matted centre with subsidiary seconds ring and decorated calendar aperture, month and weekday sectors, central alarm disc, painted moonphase in the arch, pierced seasonal spandrels, the four pillar movement with anchor escapement strike on two bells with triple repeat, the alarm assembly mounted to the sides of the plates, restorations
