The moulded rectangular cornice above a pair of panelled doors enclosing tall hanging space, above two short and one long simulated drawers and a further drawer, on shaped bracket feet, the reverse inscribed in chalk three times 'ROOM 4 WEST', converted to have taller hanging space

Supplied to the 5th Duke of Bolton (d.1765) for Hackwood.
By descent until sold in 1935 with Hackwood to William Berry, 1st Viscount Camrose (d.1954).

The 1905 Hampton and Sons inventory, No. 9 Bedroom: 'A 4ft Old English mahogany Gentleman's wardrobe fitted 5 sliding trays lined oak enclosed two panelled doors 2 long and 2 short drawers under locks'.
