In the Chinoiserie Style, By Gabriel Viardot, Circa 1880
Of rectangular shape, the frieze inset with pierced foliate-cast lozenges, above an arrangement of six stepped shelves, each carved to the underside with pierced trellis-work, above a pair of cupboard doors, each carved with orchids and with applied ormolu dragon, with similarly-carved sides, the interior with two adjustable shelves, on rectangular base, signed to the left hand side G. Viardot, on shaped feet
