The first vase with two shaped panels decorated in iroe hirazogan and takazogan, one with Chinese children playing, and the other with a crane flying over bamboos and flowers, the shoulder and rims with bands of Chinese archaic geometrical patterns and the neck with stylised ho-o birds and orchids inlaid in gold and silver, signed Hamano Yoshiyuki and kao and the other similarly decorated with the panels depicting Hotei and a karako and two cranes standing among bamboos and flowers, signed Watanabe Masayuki Kizamu and kao, some old wear
